What We Collect
Email address if you subscribe. That's it.
No tracking cookies beyond what Ghost needs to function. No analytics bullshit trying to predict your behavior. No selling your data to advertisers. No "partnerships" with data brokers.
What we actually do:
- Store your email when you voluntarily subscribe to the newsletter
- Use Ghost's built-in analytics to see which investigations people read (anonymized, not tied to you personally)
- Google Search Console to understand how people find the site (no personal data)
That's the complete list.
How We Use It
Your email: To send you investigations when we publish them. Nothing else.
Anonymous analytics: To know if anyone actually reads the investigations on EU corruption versus imperial expansion. Helps decide what to research next.
We don't:
- Sell your data (to anyone, ever)
- Share your email with third parties
- Track you across the internet
- Build "reader profiles" to monetize
- Use your subscription to send marketing bullshit
Third Parties
Ghost: Hosts the site and sends emails. They're not evil. Privacy policy: https://ghost.org/privacy/
Google Search Console: Shows search performance. Doesn't track individual readers. Just tells us which articles rank for which searches.
That's it. No Facebook pixel. No Google Analytics tracking every click. No ad networks. No "partners."
Your Rights
Unsubscribe: Link at bottom of every email. One click. Done.
Delete your data: Email us. We'll delete your subscription. Ghost might keep logs for operational purposes - ask them if you care.
Access your data: It's your email address. You already have it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page. Continued use of the site means you accept the changes. We're not going to email you about policy updates because that would be annoying.
